About Banding Choppers
Banding choppers are a highly effective solution for reducing the volume of waste strapping, whether made of metal or plastic. Once the strapping is fed into the machine, the chopper automatically continues the feed, cutting the material into manageable 80mm (3-inch) lengths. This process significantly reduces waste volume—up to 20:1—transforming it into a recyclable form.
By using a banding chopper, you can drastically reduce the space taken up by waste strapping, lower disposal costs, and improve workplace safety by keeping your waste areas organised. Plus, with waste strapping converted into recyclable material, you can contribute to a more sustainable operation.
Safety is a top priority. The machine’s exit is baffled to prevent access to moving parts while it’s in operation, and the inlet guarding only allows strapping to be fed into the machine—ensuring the safety of your staff.
